Can’t we show support
for this ‘field of dreams’?
In recent months I have been very disappointed with the Post’s coverage of what some of our so-called county commisioners want for the Intimidators stadium. I am a resident and taxpayer of the county, and I want these commissioners to know I don’t believe they have a clue about what’s good for the county, or what the Intimidators affiliation does for both communities they are associated with.
As a parent, I am particularly proud that the office of the Kannapolis Intimidators goes way above to bring the best to our youth and families, as well as make a great place to go for America’s favorite pastime. Just recently, they sponsored a Christian concert. The organization stepped out in support to end the school year on a positive note for all our students. The future of a great place for young people and families to enjoy should not become a political yo-yo in which some commissioners use this paper to voice their biased opinions. Have you actually been this involved to be a positive support for our community?
Those who are in the office of the Kannapolis Intimidators, thank you for all you do for our community, families and the young people of this area. By the way, did you notice the charter bus from Atlanta filled with young people that attended a recent game?
I love the stadium and all the field of dreams it offers! ó Angela Connell

‘Army Wives’ ranks low
I watched the premiere of the “Army Wives” show Sunday night (on Lifetime Television). I was an Army wife for more than 20 years, and I feel this show is offensive and degrading.
I hope the wives of active duty soldiers will go to the source and work toward having this show canceled immediately.
