Ola R. Jordan
Ola Mae Rivers Jordan, 94, Big Elm Nursing Center, formerly of Barlow Avenue, died Saturday (June 9, 2007) at the nursing center.
Born June 13, 1912, in Chesterfield County, S.C., Mrs. Jordan was a daughter of the late Gildy and Julia Boatwright Rivers.
She was homemaker and member of Westside Church of the Nazarene.
Her husband, Carson Newsom Jordan, died in September 1959.
Survivors include daughters Betty Stack and Evelyn Ballard, both of Kannapolis; son the Rev. Richard L. Jordan, Grove City, Ohio; brother Elvin Rivers, Kannapolis; and 11 grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. today (June 13, 2007), Lady’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Richard L. Jordan, her son; the Rev. Charles Savage; and the Rev. Mark White. Burial, Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell.
