Fannie F. Carter
Fannie Fowler Carter, 92, Big Elm Nursing Home, formerly of Temple Street, died Saturday (June 9, 2007) at the nursing center.
Born Nov. 20, 1914, in Franklin County, Ga., Mrs. Carter was a daughter of the late William Lee and Estie Jordan Fowler.
She attended Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked for Cannon Mills for 43 years.
Her husband, William Cecil Carter, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sisters Joyce Parson, Concord; Virginia Stickler, Salisbury; Venetia Steele and Vera Allene Smith, both of Kannapolis, and Irelle Wilkinson, Mooresville.
A service was held Tuesday (June 12, 2007) at Lady’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Barnhill, the Rev. Karen Barnhill and the Rev. Ralph Adams. Burial, West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.
