Thrivent plans Join Hands Day activities June 9 at South Y
In observance of Join Hands Day, the Southwest Rowan County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is planning a Family Fun Day on June 9, a Saturday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the South Rowan YMCA Soccer Fields.
Plans are to have two inflatable bounce houses, fun games for all ages, face painting, hot dogs and hamburgers. The food and drinks are available to purchase.
Admission for the event will be canned food to share with local food banks. Participants also can make cards and assemble care packs to be sent to American troops overseas.
