Solo acoustic blues singer/songwriter at Three Fifteen this Saturday

Two-time Canadian Juno Nominee Michael Pickett returns for an encore performance at Salisbury’s Three Fifteen this Saturday.

With exceptional award- winning rack harmonica skills and powerful vocals, Pickett delivers charismatic and compelling performances charged with electricity and filled with authenticity and unique style. He puts his own spin on obscure tunes of legendary icons such as Robert Johnson, Bukka White, Mississippi John Hurt, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, and showcases his own potent material.

He has evolved into an eclectic and captivating storyteller through Delta blues, country, folk and Americana, revealing a profound understanding of where this music comes from and why it stands the test of time.

As a solo artist, Pickett is touring throughout Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Europe, appearing in clubs, coffee houses, house concerts, theatres and festivals.

He has played with and/or shared the stage with Big Mama Thornton, John Lee Hooker, James Cotton, Jeff Healey, Bo Diddley, Koko Taylor, John Hammond, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, Doug Kershaw, Snooky Pryor, Taj Mahal and Muddy Waters.

Opening Saturday will be Salisbury’s own blues artist Bob Paolino. Doors open at 8 p.m., show starts at 10 p.m. for ages 18 and up. Tickets are $10 and are available in advance online at www.ThreeFifteen. com, or call 704-633-1315.
