Ethel Leoda Moss

MISENHEIMER – Ethel Leoda Moss, 88, of 48463 U.S. Hwy. 52, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Britthaven of Piedmont in Albemarle.

Born June 13, 1918, in Stanly County, Miss Moss was a daughter of the late Mathew James “Math” Moss and Mattie Thomasson Moss. A retired textile looper, she had worked at Kayser Roth Hosiery for 43 years.

Miss Moss was a lifelong member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Iris Moss Hill and Hazelene Moss Herrin.

Surviving are sisters Elizabeth Moss Wagoner of Misenheimer and Helen Moss Riley of Palm Bay, Fla.; a number of nieces and nephews; and very special friends and caregivers Marcine Peacock, June Hardin, Juanita Hopkins, Opal Sells, Jackie Kendall and Diane Beaver.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The family will also meet at the home of sister Elizabeth Wagoner, 48001 Wagoner Road off U.S. 52 in Misenheimer.

Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley Chapel United Meth-odist Church with Bill Faggart officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
