CHINA GROVE – Helen Elizabeth Faggart Deal, 84, of 375 Lentz Road, died unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord.

BornDeal Aug. 27, 1922, in Rowan County, Mrs. Deal was the daughter of the late Henry Faggart. She was a graduate of China Grove High School and a member of First United Methodist Church of China Grove, where she was a member of the Margaret Weldon Sunday School Class. She retired from Cannon Mills, where she worked in the finishing room.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Deal, on July 5, 1995.

Survivors include son Ken E. Deal and wife Lisa of China Grove, daughter Sharon Deal Brawley of China Grove, and four grandchildren.

Service: The funeral service is at 3 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Vance Lowe. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation: Visitation is 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the church. The remainder of the time, the family will be at the home of her son at 205 Lentz Road, China Grove.

Memorials: The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Deal’s name to First United Methodist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 625, China Grove, NC 28023.
