Pastor Christopher Okwedy has a business plan, but it’s not for a church or even a ministry.

Coming to America in 1990 with $150, Okwedy moved to New York City from Nigeria looking for the “American Dream.” Several experiences brought him to the word of God. After finding his keys in the Bible, he founded “KeyWord Ministries.”

In 2004, he says that God impressed on him the need for bringing hope through the prime product of God — eternal life now.

He found that through crusades, that bring life instead of destruction, he had tapped into the true business plan of God.

God’s product of eternal life is so well-received that he is taking his crusade back to Africa in April for a 3-city tour.

He feels that his message is important now more than ever since he sees so many people searching for life. By tapping into God’s intent of love and peace, eternal life is available.

Okwedy cites the downtrodden as the prime property of God. By living the life of God, the call is to reach out to those most in need.

“It is as though God is the ocean and we are like a cup of that ocean. We are not God but we contain the elements of God by being created in his image.” Okwedy said.

The crusade’s focus is reaching out to the community to magnify the life of God through Jesus Christ.

Okwedy follows the model of Jesus by speaking the language of the times.

Although his wife’s family is from Salisbury, he feels very welcomed by the area’s community of believers.

Okwedy will be in Salisbury Jan. 18-20. The Eternal Life Crusade will be at Keppel Auditorium at Catawba College at 7:30 p.m. each night.

Musical ministries from Dr. Virgil Patterson and family, Shamick Jones and others are involved in the evening’s activities. There will be prizes and products available throughout the night.
