ASHEVILLE — The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa is pleased to announce that Grammy Award winners David Sanborn, Diane Schuur, Melissa Manchester and Dave Samuels & The Caribbean Jazz Project are being featured at the resort’s 15th annual “All That Jazz” weekend, Jan. 26-28.

Melissa Manchester will open for the legendary David Sanborn on Friday, Jan. 26, in the resort’s grand ballroom. Then, on Saturday night, Jan. 27, two multi-Grammy Award winning artists are featured as the lush vocals of Diane Schuur combines with the percolating rhythms of Dave Samuels (founder of Spyro Gyra) and the Caribbean Jazz Project.

Schuur’s interpretative powers and her legendary 31?2-octave vocal range have earned her the title of “the new First Lady of Jazz.”

Other entertainers include Mundell Lowe of “The Great Guitars” fame, guitarist Vince Lewis and many other regional jazz players.

“It will be our most diverse weekend yet of outstanding jazz talent,” said Maddy Winer, entertainment director. “David Sanborn is hailed as the greatest living jazz saxophonist and Diane Schuur is the new reining queen of jazz. Melissa Manchester is one of our all time favorites and the Caribbean Jazz Project adds a spicy Latin flavor to our jazz weekend.”

As always, the “All That Jazz” weekend will feature evening and afternoon concerts in the grand ballroom, numerous jazz artists performing in the great hall all weekend long, “Meet the Artists” receptions following each evening concert and a Saturday morning jazz clinic.

Package rates start at $749 per couple including two nights’ deluxe accommodations and advance admission tickets to all concerts. Individual tickets and concert discount packages are available. Tickets are also available for each night ranging from $45 to $60 with Saturday afternoon concert tickets selling for $12.
