Frances C. Thomas

CHINA GROVE – Frances Valentine Corradino Thomas, 69, of 275 Pethel Road, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at her residence.

Born Feb. 14, 1937, in Binghamton, N.Y., Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of the late Vito and Carmella Verranti Corradino. She was educated in the Binghamton schools and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis Thomas, on June 21, 1999.

Survivors include sons Richard Thomas Jr. and wife Teresa of Monroe, Michael Thomas of San Jose, Calif., Timothy Thomas and wife Tammie of Kannapolis, Patrick Thomas and wife Pam of Jacksonville, Fla., and Pete Thomas and wife Stacey of China Grove; daughters Susan Taylor and husband Robert of Binghamton, N.Y., Sarah Rudd and husband Wayne of Kannapolis; sister Betty Kannenberg and husband Wes of Pinehurst; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Service: The funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kannapolis, conducted by Father Alvero Riquelme. Interment will follow the service at 12 p.m. at the Old Historic National Cemetery, Salisbury.

Visitation: Visitation is 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Thomas’ name to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Boy Scout Camp Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
