Club page changes

Rowan County has an abundance of active clubs and organizations. So much so, that for months we have been unable to fit all the club news we receive into our “Club Highlights” page.

We are continuing to publish club listings the first Sunday of each month, but the list will no longer include news or announcements for the clubs. Club entries will consist of the club’s name, brief purpose statement, date and time of meetings, a contact phone number and/or e-mail address and the Web site link, if the club has a site. Clubs must provide a contact number in order to be included in the listing.

News about the club may continue to be submitted to LifeStyles, and will be reported in the paper as space allows. Elections of officers, awards and recognitions will be reported in People and Places. Upcoming events for the general public may be reported as a poster or news brief.

Send information to shall@salisburypost.com, fax it to 704-639-0003, or mail it to Lifestyles, Salisbury Post, PO Box 4639, Salisbury, NC 28145.

Events and opportunities for members only and not the public at large will not be reported in the newspaper. Clubs are asked to convey this information to their members through other means, such as their own newsletter or Web site.

For more information or questions, call Sarah Hall at 704-797-4271.

Club submissions

The deadline for the next listing is no later than Jan. 29, 2007. Information received by that date will be published in club listings for Sunday, Feb. 4.

You may submit a new listing or revise the information printed today these ways:

Via e-mail to shall@salisburypost.com.

Via postal mail to Life, Salisbury Post, PO Box 4639, Salisbury NC 28145.

Via fax 704-639-0003.
