Have you read a book recently that you can’t wait to tell everyone about? Looking for a new book to read? Have you read everything by your favorite author and just can’t seem to find something you like?

If so, try the Teen Book Club at South Rowan Regional Library.

If you are in middle school and love to read, this might just be your place. Each month, the group chooses a book to read then discusses the good, the bad, and anything else about it. You might also find out about some other great books or authors you might be missing out on — even if that isn’t the book we chose to read that month.

For January, check out “Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment” by James Patterson.

An action, mystery and suspense novel for teens, this book is fast paced like Patterson’s other novels. Characters Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel are basically like other kids — except they are 98 percent human and 2 percent bird.

When the kids have to rescue Angel, who has been kidnapped, readers will soon see exactly what they can do.

For February, join us in reading “Sorcery & Ceceila, or, the Enchanted Chocolate Pot” by Patricia Wrede.

This novel set in 19th -entury London is written entirely in letters back and forth between Cecelia and her cousin, Kate.

Don’t think this will be boring, though. There is plenty of dialogue and the two must fend off wizards, a pot of poisoned hot chocolate, a wicked stepmother and brother who has been turned into a tree, while trying to dress in style and find romance.

Join us at the South Rowan Regional Library, next to the YMCA in China Grove, for the Teen Book Club at 3 p.m. Jan. 6 and 3 p.m. Feb. 10.
