CLEMSON, S.C. — Freshman Trevor Booker had 14 points and Vernon Hamilton finished with 13 to help No. 25 Clemson beat Georgia 75-60 Thursday night to remain undefeated.

The Tigers (13-0) are off to their best start since the 1996-97 team coached by Rick Barnes started 17-0 and rose to No. 2 in the country.

The Tigers have beaten three Southeastern Conference teams this season, including victories against Mississippi State and South Carolina.

ATLANTA — Jeremis Smith didn’t allow any of his Georgia Tech teammates lose their intensity despite a big lead.Smith and Thaddeus Young each scored 16 points and Georgia Tech went on to rout Troy 85-55.

Tech’s leading scorer, Lewis Clinch, added nine points on 3-of-6 3-point baskets while Smith scored 10 of his points during the first seven minutes of the second half. Smith and Ra’Sean Dickey added nine rebounds apiece and Javaris Crittenton had 10 assists.
