CONCORD — Walker Marketing Inc. has hired Arrick Maurice as its new graphic/interactive media designer.

Reporting to Walker’s vice president of creative services, Maurice will spearhead the firm’s media work, including Web sites, electronic newsletters, interactive presentations and video, in addition to assisting the firm’s creative director with graphic design and art production projects.

An award-winning designer, Maurice comes to Walker from Luquire George Andrews, where he conceived, designed and developed interactive projects, ranging from banner ads to entire Web sites, and helped create advertisements, collateral pieces and graphic identity packages.

Maurice also previously worked at Moonlight Design Group and as a graphic design freelancer, where he served a wide range of clients.

He holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

“2006 has been an amazing year for Walker, in terms of our overall growth …,” Gary Walker, Walker Marketing CEO said in a press release. “With his background, artistic talent and deep technical proficiency, we’re confident that Arrick will have an immediate and positive impact on our already strong creative team, allowing us to do more work while maintaining our high standards.”

Walker said he expects his firm to continue adding staff in its creative and client services departments.
