Letter: A special gift

A great organization made our Christmas wish come true. Our grandson, Steven Curry, was wounded in Iraq. While he was serving in the Army, his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb. Steven lost part of his left leg, to about 8 inches below the knee.

We did not think we would be able to see him this Christmas, but thanks to the Veteran’s Airlift Command at 5775 Wayzata Blvd., Suite 700 in Minneapolis, MN 55416, he and his wife and baby were flown here to be with us for Christmas.

The Veteran’s Airlift Command is a fantastic organization that needs our support so many other soldiers and their families can have their wishes granted also. Please go to their Web site at www.veteransairlift.org and check them out. We sure appreciate them for making this Christmas special to us.
