William M. Nash

SALISBURY – William Monroe Nash, 73, of Salisbury, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Born Jan. 9, 1933 in Rowan County, Mr. Nash was a son of the late Fannie Goodman Nash and the

late Ernest M.

Nash.

Educated in the Rowan Co. schools, he was employed as an electrician with the V.A. Medical Center.

Mr. Nash was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army.

Preceding him in death were wife Helen Boger Nash, on October 24, 2002, brother Charlie Nash and sister Ethel Miller.

Surviving are daughters Wanda Brooks and husband Julian of Myrtle Beach SC, and Linda Yundt and husband John of Salisbury. Also surviving are sisters Grace Hodgson and Ludie Mae Eller both of Salisbury, and Alice Godbey of Mocksville; grandchildren Jason Yundt and Amanda Brooks Lester.

Visitation: 1:30-2:30 pm, Sat. Dec. 23, prior to the service, at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of a daughter at other times.

Services: Saturday, December 23, 2006, 3:00 pm, at Lyerly Funeral Home’s James C. Lyerly Chapel.

Burial: will be at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell with military graveside rites conducted by the Rowan County Honor Guard.
