Utility work in downtown Kannapolis will create road closings over the next six weeks.

The eastbound lane of West First Street between South Ridge Avenue and South Main Street is closed and scheduled to re-open Dec. 29.

South Main Street will close between West A Street and West First Street Jan. 2-17. The sidewalks will remain open to allow access to the businesses.

On Jan. 17, South Main will close between West B and West A streets. The road is scheduled to reopen on Jan. 30. The sidewalks will remain open.
