I want to take a moment to recognize the back-to-back National Champion Appalachian State University Mountaineers! My alma mater is the proud owner of the last two football trophies, a 27-game win streak at Kidd Brewer Stadium and a 14-game win streak for this season. Only an opening loss to lowly N.C. State marred a perfect season.

ASS won the last I-AB championship last year and the first Football Championship Series title this year. It’s good to be a Mountaineer!

To all alumni in Roman County and surrounding areas, puff out your chest and wear your black and old gold to work this week!
