Frances F. Bost

Frances Lucille Fortson Bost, 80, Kannapolis, died Saturday (Dec. 16, 2006) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.

Born Aug. 23, 1926, in Hull Ga., Mrs. Bost was a daughter of the late Will and Ethel Carruthers Fortson.

In earlier years, she worked for Cannon Mills and later for the former Kaiser-Roth Hosiery Mill, Concord, while also working part-time at the former Cook’s Department Store.

She belonged to Concordia Lutheran Church, China Grove, for years but currently was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Her husband, Thedia Melton Bost, died Dec. 2, 2006.

Survivors include brothers Fred Fortson, China Grove, and Theron Fortson, Hull, Ga.; and sister Margaret Fortson Farmer, Arden.

Services: 2 p.m. today (Dec. 20, 2006), Calvary Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Joel Ervin and the Rev. Max Smith. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.

Visitation: 1-2 p.m. today at the church. Whitley’s Funeral Home is in charge.
