SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Anthony Todd Avery, 28, of Sacramento. Calif., died Tuesday Dec. 12, 2006 as the result of a hit and run accident. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;He was born Oct. 2, 1978 at Mather AFB in Sacramento, he was the son of Claude T. & quot;Teddy & quot; Avery, III of Salisbury, NC and Anita L. Averyof Citrus Heights, Calif. He was a 1996 graduate of San Juan High School, Sacramento and joing the US Air Force in 2000. He served two tours of duty during the campaign for Iraqi Freedom as an Avionics Specialist. He was employed by Sam’s Clun and was a musician with local Sacramento bands, Mr. P Chill and The Trunk of Funk. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister, Alison Avery; nephew, Dominic Avery, both of Sacramento; aunts, Sharon Davis of Durham, NC, Mona Holt of Bronx, NY, Vera Avery, Gretchen Dunlap and Lynda Avery, all of Cleveland, NC; uncles Harold Gillespie of Bronx, NY and Allen Avery, Brownsville, Pa.; many cousins, other relatives and his closest friend and surrogate brother, Mike Marshall of Sacramento, Calif. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: Memorial Service: 2 p.m. today at Murph Emmanuel AME Church, Sacramento, Calif. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Obituary courtesy of Mitchell & amp; Fair Funeral Service. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Online condolences may be sent to mitfair28144@yahoo.com
