NEW YORK — NBA scoring leader Carmelo Anthony was suspended for 15 games Monday and six other players were penalized as commissioner David Stern came down hard on both teams after the Nuggets and Knicks brawled at Madison Square Garden.

Nate Robinson and J.R. Smith each got 10 games, and four other players also were suspended. Stern fined each organization $500,000. But there was no separate penalty for Knicks coach Isiah Thomas, who had warned Anthony not to go into the lane before the mayhem started Saturday night.

NEW YORK — Stephon Marbury’s layup just beat the buzzer, and gave the New York Knicks a stunning 97-96 overtime victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday night, two nights after their brawl with the Nuggets.

Nets 105, Warriors 97

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Jason Kidd recorded his 81st career triple-double, Nenad Krstic had 26 points and the New Jersey Nets beat the Golden State Warriors 105-97.

Kidd finished with 10 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds. The triple-double was the sixth of the season for the Nets guard.

Heat 101, Hornets 99

MIAMI — Dwyane Wade scored 29 points and hit a fadeaway shot with 1.3 seconds left, capping a furious rally to lift the Miami Heat to a 101-99 win against the New Orleans Hornets.

Griz 134, Sonics 126, 2 OT

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Rudy Gay scored 17 points, including six in the second overtime period, and Memphis snapped a six-game losing streak.

Nuggets 117, Wizards 108

DENVER — Earl Boykins had a season-high 29 points — including 15 in the fourth quarter — and Marcus Camby grabbed 17 rebounds and scored a season-high 25 points.
