MOCKSVILLE – Ray George Transou Sr., 59, of Mocksville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;He was born May 25, 1947, in McKeesport, Pa., to Frank Monroe Transou Jr. and Florence Small Transou. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Gough Transou, his parents and a sister, Jettie Transou Lemons. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;He leaves behind daughters Mary Transou, Amy Mise and Patricia Rogers; son Ray Transou Jr. and wife Michelle; grandchildren Jason Transou of the home, Sarah Sheppard, Heather Grebe, Bucky Sheppard, Ray Sheppard, Darian Grebe, Emma Transou and Anna Transou; a special great- granddaughter, Alexis Sheppard, who brought many joyful moments for both he and Kathy; brother Frank M. Transou III and wife Gail; a loving sister, Terry Anderson and husband Ernie; sister Barbara Marshall; a host of special nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Nancy Grubbs and husband Bill, Barbara Green and husband Tony and Vickie Hendrix and husband Tommy; and a good friend and buddy, Darrell Shrewsbury. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Kinderton Chapel with the Rev. A.G. Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Visitation: The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and following the burial on Saturday at the home of Frank Transou of Bermuda Run.
