GRANITE QUARRY – Rachel Kimball Harrison, 86, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Born July 14, 1920, in Rowan County, Mrs. Harrison was a daughter of the late Henry and Katie Walters Kimball. She was educated in Salisbury city schools. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker and later worked for Granite Knitwear. She was a member of Gold Hill Wesleyan Church. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Preceding her in death were brothers Melvin and Harlan Kimball and sister Oneda Kimball Shaw. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Robert Charles (Bob) Harrison; sons Gwynn (Bob) Harrison (Patsy) and Mark Harrison (Connie), both of Granite Quarry; grandchildren Angela Honeycutt, Brandon Harrison, Laura Powell, Maranda Harrison and Levi Harrison; great-grandchildren Julie Honeycutt, Stacy H. Grady, Weston Powell and Austin Harrison; great-great-grandchild Madison Grady; and brother John Kimball (Catherine). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Gold Hill Wesleyan Church by Pastor Mark Lowman. Burial will follow at Wittenburg Lutheran Church Cemetery in Granite Quarry. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Visitation: Visitation will be held tonight at Lyerly Funeral Home in Salisbury from 6:30-8:30. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Memorials: Memorials may be made to Gold Hill Wesleyan Church, Building Fund, 830 Liberty Road, Gold Hill, NC 28071.
