COVINGTON, La. – Cynthia Pillsbury Frost, 60, mother, grandmother, educator, and genealogist, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at her home in Covington. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Frost was the wife of the late John J. Frost of Covington and daughter of the late Nahum Roy Pillsbury Jr., and the late Neely McCubbins Pillsbury, both of Charlotte, N.C. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Emma Elise Glaze. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Frost leaves three children: Leslie Glaze of Madison, Miss., Brent F. Jones of San Francisco, Calif., and Blair Jones of Alexandria, Va.; as well as son-in-law Bradley Glaze and daughter-in-law Zoe Jones. She also leaves her grandchildren, Avery, Emily and Hollin Glaze, all of Madison. She is also survived by her two sisters, Pamela P. Oliver and her family of Boston, Va., and Susan P. Wood and her family of Menlo Park, Calif. She also leaves five stepchildren and numerous step-grandchildren. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Frost lived in Covington for 26 years and taught mathematics and science in the public school system from 1980 to 2006. She retired May 2006 from Pine View Middle School. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;In retirement, she passionately continued her extensive genealogical research detailing her family ancestry, the majority of which revolved around her direct lineage to the English Puritans who settled in Massachusetts during the 1620s. She traveled often to conduct library research and in-person interviews with extended relatives and genealogical specialists in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Mrs. Frost was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church of Covington, joining in 1981. Born in 1946 in Quincy, Mass., she was then raised in Portland, Maine, and Charlotte, N.C. In 1968, she completed an undergraduate degree in Education at High Point College in High Point, N.C. In 1991, she earned a master’s degree in Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Visitation: A visitation was held Wednesday night at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Service: Funeral Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 S.
