A committee of the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education has proposed a change in the student
transfer policy that would prohibit students who transfer to another school from playing
sports at their new school.Instead, if they
want to participate in sports, the students would have to play for their old schools. The
committee endorsed the change to stop the practice of student athletes’ shopping for
schools with the best teams.
