Marie Wilhelm Hedrick

LEXINGTON — Marie Wilhelm Hedrick, 85, 1248 City Lake Road, died Tuesday (Sept. 14, 1999) at Lexington Memorial Hospital.

Born July 6, 1914, in Rowan County, Mrs. Hedrick was a daughter of the late Lester Brown and Elizabeth Graham Wilhelm. She was a 1933 graduate of Cleveland High School and a 1935 graduate of the Grace Hospital of Nursing, Morganton.

She had retired as plant nurse at Dixie Furniture in 1979. A member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, she was active in the Friendship Sunday School Class and WELCA. She was a former member of the church council. She was also a member of the church’s senior citizens group and the Home Extension Club.

Charles Clifton Hedrick, her husband of 42 years, died in 1983.

Survivors include daughter Mrs. Lonnie V. (Martha Hedrick) Hege, Lexington; son Charles Ronald Hedrick, of the home; sisters Anne W. Godwin, Charlotte, Doris W. Harrison, Spencer, Ruth W. Martin, Salisbury, and Barbara W. WIlhelm, Cleveland; brothers William and Clyde Wilhelm, both of Cleveland; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Pilgrim Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Jim White. Burial, Pilgrim Lutheran Church cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the home of daughter Martha Hege, 4233 W. Center St. Extension.

Piedmont Funeral Home is in charge.

Sadie T. Hudson

MOCKSVILLE — Sadie T. Hudson, 77, 107 Forest St., died Monday (Sept. 13, 1999) at Winston-Salem Hospice Home after a brief illness.

A Mocksville native, Mrs. Hudson was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian Malone Hudson. She was a member of Mocksville Second Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Annie S. Dulin, and a son, Willis Henry Campbell.

Survivors include son Anthony G. Hudson, Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services: 4 p.m. Friday, Mocksville Second Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Brown. Burial, church cemetery.

Visitation: 3:30 p.m. Friday at the church. At other times the family will be at the home on Foster Street.

Graham Funeral Home is in charge.

 

Mildred Newman Lamm

ROCKWELL — Mildred Monica Newman Lamm, 75, Rockwell, died Friday (Sept. 10, 1999) at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.

Born Sept. 6, 1925, in Everette, Wash., Mrs. Lamm was a daughter of the late Elmer and Monica Newman. She was reared in Memphis, Tenn., by an aunt, Mary Newman.

She was a graduate of Central High School in Memphis. Mrs. Lamm received a bachelor’s degree from Blue Mountain College and a master’s degree from Smith University in Massachusetts.

Survivors include husband LeRoy B. Lamm; son Willey Lamm; and daughters Mary F. Kaleta and Monica A. Schwartz.

Cremation Services, Winston-Salem, is in charge of arrangement.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

MOCKSVILLE — Press Columbus Robertson, 76, Howard Town Road, died Tuesday (Sept. 14, 1999) at Davie County Hospital.

Marvin Franklin Trembley

Marvin Franklin Trembley, 70, 2915 Old Union Road, died Wednesday (Sept. 15, 1999) at his home.

Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, is in charge.
