Kathleen Burch Lacy
The funeral will be Tuesday for
Kathleen Elizabeth Burch Lacy, 76, 635 Statesville Blvd., who died Thursday (Oct. 28,
1999) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born July 13, 1923, in Danville,
Va., Mrs. Lacy was the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle Serliff Burch. A U.S. Army
veteran of World War II, she was educated in Danville, Va., schools. She was employed by
General Machinery in West Virginia and later by Dan River Mills inDanville. Mrs. Lacy
retired from Borden Chemical Company.
Survivors include son Raymond
Pizzino, Charlotte; daughter Shirley AnnJones, St. Albans, W.V.; sister Pauline
Clark,Graham; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Landmark
Church, where she will lie in state 30 minutes before service. Conducted by the Revs.
Benny Hillard and Jerry L. Snipes. Burial, City Memorial Park with Military Graveside
Rites by Rowan CountyVeterans Council.

Patricia Lynn Foster
KANNAPOLIS The funeral will
be Tuesday for Patricia Lynn Foster, 71, 6443 Roanoke Drive, who died Friday (Oct. 29,
1999) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Born May 16, 1928 in Farmsville,
Va., Mrs. Foster was the daughter of the late Walter Vernon Lynn and Edna Pearl Dickey
Lynn. She was a member of and secretary for Second Presbyterian Church.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, she
served as treasurer of the V.F.W. Poston-Perkins Post 8989 auxiliary. Mrs. Foster moved to
Kannapolis in 1968 from Alexandria, Va., where she served as a secretary for the FBI in
Washington, D.C.
Her husband, John Aubrey Foster,
preceded her in death.
Survivors include sister Dorothy
Collins, Hummeltown, Pa.; and companion William R. Bill Evans of the home.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday,
Whitleys Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Dr. Robert Hare. Burial, Carolina
Memorial Park.
Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home. At other times the family will receive friends at the home on Roanoke Drive.

Born in Kannapolis, Mr. Hilton
retired from DuPont in Martinsville, Va.

Hilton, Eden; daughters Ginger H. Smothers, Brown Summitt, and Sheryl Hilton, Miami;
brother H.T. Hilton Jr., Rockwell; sister Frances Hilton, Salisbury; and four
grandchildren.

Ralph M. Misenheimer Sr.
Ralph M. Misenheimer Sr., 89, of
Salisbury died Friday (Oct. 29, 1999) at Autumn Nurse Care Center, Mocksville, following a
period of declining health.
Born Aug. 23, 1910 in Rowan
County, Mr. Misenheimer was the son of the late Gertie May Frye and James J. Misenheimer.
Educated in Rowan County schools, Mr. Misenheimer retired from N.C.Finishing Company after
40 years of service. He was also a farmer and a member of Trading Ford Baptist Church.
His wife, Mary Hamilton
Misenheimer, and a son, Robert Hamilton, preceded him in death.
Survivors include son Ralph M.
Misenheimer Jr., Salisbury; sisters Dorothy Curlee, Molly Shepherd and Essie Tanner, all
of Salisbury; and three stepgrandchildren.

Nellie Montgomery
KANNAPOLIS Nellie Thompson
Montgomery, 91, formerly of Ford Street, Kannapolis, died Saturday (Oct. 30, 1999) at
Brian Center, Concord.
Born April 24, 1908 in Union
County, Mrs. Montgomery was the daughter of the late Charles and Lilly Byrd Thompson. She
was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Her husband, Parris Edgar
Montgomery, died on Nov. 27, 1980.
Survivors include daughters Hilda
Gibbons, Landis, and Faye M. Roberts, Charleston S.C.; son Kenneth Montgomery, Graham; and
sisters Mary Twitty and Dixie Robinson, both of Lancaster, S.C.; seven grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. today,

Myrtle Haynes Wilson
Myrtle Haynes Wilson, 77, 1003 E.
Lafayette St., died Saturday (Oct. 30, 1999) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born April 12, 1922 in North
Wilkesboro, Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of the late Isaac F. and Sarah Wike Haynes. Prior
to her retirement, she was a nurses aide at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.
Her husband, Garland Wilson, died
in September 1981.
Survivors include daughter Linda
Davidson, Kannapolis; son Gene Wilson, Richfield; sisters Edna Ledbetter, Kannapolis, and
Cleo Fortner, Landis; brother Jack Haynes, Kannapolis; six grandchildren and five
great-grand children.
Service: 2 p.m. Monday, graveside
service at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. Richard Pethel.
