Christians must put their faith into practice with AIDS ministries, says the Rev.
Stephanie Speller of Charlotte.Shell
bring that message to Salisbury on Wednesday as Hood Theological Seminary observes World
AIDS Day.
Speller, with the Charlotte-based Regional AIDS
Interfaith Network (RAIN), will speak at a special chapel service at 11 a.m.
RAIN is a program that enables volunteers to
live out their faith by assisting persons living with AIDS, says a seminary press
release.
Spellers message will stress the importance
of churches having their own AIDS ministries, and she will share ways for pastors to
start them.
The hour-long chapel service starts at 11 a.m.,
and the public is invited.
The seminary is located at 800 W. Thomas St., off
South Main Street.
