Sarah Henderson AdamsMOORESVILLE Sarah Henderson Adams, 87, Mooresville, died Friday
(Nov. 26, 1999) at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
Born April, 13, 1912, in Gaston
County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew McKnitt and Pearl Rutledge Henderson. She
was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was pianist for the Mens Bible
Class and served in other aspects of the music ministry.
She was a member of Circle 1 and
her Sunday school class. She was a member for years of the Mary Slocumb Chapter of the
DAR. She attended Mitchell College and worked at Mooresville Mills, Stevens Furniture,
Mooresville Flooring and Morrow Brothers.
Her husband, William
Bill Adamson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include brother Dr. A.M.
Henderson of Mooresville.

Concord.
Born July 9, 1981, in Montgomery
County, she was the daughter of Robin Denise McMurray Basinger, Albemarle, and Jeff
Richard Efird, Oakboro. She was a 1998 graduate of North Stanly High School.
Survivors, in addition to her
parents, include stepmother Marisa Efird, Oakboro; son Christian Andrew Blake, of the
home; stepsister Michelle Herlocker, Oakboro; sister Bobbie Efird, of the home; paternal
grandmother Alma Louise Broadway, Rockwell; paternal step-grandmother Viola Efird,
Oakboro; and maternal grandparents Bobby and Betty Hinson, Albemarle.

Born Nov. 17, 1914, in Davie
County, she was a daughter of the late Maude Smith and James Lee Ijames. She was a member
of First Baptist Church of Cooleemee, and a member of AT&T Pioneers.
She is survived by a sister,
Lililis I. Penninger.

Rob Krider Jr., 46, 99 Weant St., died Saturday (Nov. 27, 1999) at Rowan
Regional Medical Center. He had been seriously ill for one week.
Born Oct. 28, 1953, in Salisbury,
he was the son of Martha Killian Johnson of East Spencer and the late Robert Krider Sr. He
was a graduate of Boys High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was previously employed at Key
Food Store in Brooklyn, N.Y. He attended Moores Chapel AME Zion Church in Salisbury.
Survivors, in addition to his
mother, include son Robert L. Krider III, Newark, N.J.; daughter Chrishera Wood, East

66, 1320 Inverness Place, died Friday (Nov. 26, 1999) at Carolinas Medical Center,
Charlotte, due to complications following heart surgery.
Born Feb. 1, 1933, in Poyntelle,
Pa., he was the son of the late H. Kelsey and Edna L. Fitze Stone. He graduated from
Preston Township High School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. In 1987,
he retired from IBM Corp. after 30 years of service and was a member of the IBMQuarter
Century Club. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 399, and past Patron of the Order
of the Eastern Star 599, both of Maine, N.Y.
He volunteered for Cabarrus Meals
on Wheels and participating in the Methodist Mens Club at Forest Hill United
Methodist Church, where he was a member.
Survivors include wife Ida L.
Noble Stone; daughter Karen L. Slothouber, Leesburg, Va.; sons Kenneth A. Stone, Raleigh,

Born April 18, 1918, in Rowan
County, he was the son of the late Mary Parks and Walter Scott Walton. He was educated in
Rowan County schools and retired from Salisbury Marble & Granite Co. after more than
30 years. He was a member of Gays Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II, serving in India.
His wife, Annie Bringle Walton,
died Jan. 19, 1991.
Survivors include a niece and a
nephew.
