Cummings was the son of Charlotte Anne Cummings, Albemarle, and the late George Larry
Cummings.

Born Feb. 4, 1935, in Cherokee County, S.C., Mr.
Hollis was a son of the late Crawley and Rosa D. Hollis. He had retired as a custodian at
the Cabarrus County Government Center. He was a trustee and grounds keeper for his church.

Nursing Center, died Wednesday (Nov. 3, 1999) at the nursing center after 18 months of
declining health.
Born Nov. 1, 1924, in Cabarrus County, Mrs.
Hunsucker was a daughter of the late Thomas T. and Fannie Richards Greene. She was a
member of Concord Lake Baptist Church.
Her husband, Dorris Ray Hunsucker, died May 7,
1991.
Survivors include sons Gary and Rufus Hunsucker,
both of Concord, and Kenneth Hunsucker, Mooresville; daughters Faye Gray and Leann
Anderson, both of Kannapolis; brother Frank Greene, Terrell; 10 grandchildren; and six

was a daughter of the late Millard and Helen Sanders Hathcock. She was a homemaker and a

Bailey Lee James, 58, Hemlock Street, who died Tuesday (Nov. 2, 1999) at his home after
several months of declining health.
Born Aug. 5, 1941, in Davie County, Mr. James was
a son of the late Clarence Bruce and Laura Grace Sheek James. He had retired from the U.S.
Postal Service after 25 years as a letter carrier. He was a member of First Baptist
Church.

Born Sept. 16, 1918, in Davidson County, Mrs. Ross
was a daughter of the late Lawrence Dewitt and Minnie Eldora Beck Holt. A homemaker, she
was a Methodist.
Her husband, Bernard L. Bernie Ross,
died Oct. 29, 1988.

Broom, Mount Airy, and Karl Albert Broom, Federalburg, Md.; daughters Eva Quick,

was a daughter of the late James Franklin and Lizzie Ritchie McCarnes. Retired from
Wiscassett Mill Co., she was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church.
Her husband, Pearl Virgil Smith, died Dec. 16,
1986.
