CHARLESTON, S.C. Sacrifice flies took center stage Thursday night in a South
Atlantic League pitchers duel. Piedmonts Brad Baisley and Charleston, S.C., starter Delvin James
shut down the opposing offenses, but the RiverDogs got the win in the bottom of the ninth
when Efrain Alamo led off the inning with a triple and scored on Brandon Backes long

four-hit ball. The only run he surrendered came in the second inning when Nate Espy
doubled and came home on Jorge Padillas sac fly. The Boll Weevils (26-21) stranded
just two runners.
