            OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

1. Safety: Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times. Special precautions and Safety equipment will be subject to wildlife Commission. Running lights must be operational and turned on at the blast off.

Tournament rules. The Rules Committee will rule on any unusual situations which may occur. Its decision will be final in all instances.

2. ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS: Participation in tournaments is open to anglers 16 years of age or older (unless accompanied by a Parent or guardian). Proof of age is the responsibility of participants.

3. TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION: Participants may register by mailing the attached entry form to the address provided. Registrations will be accepted the morning of the tournament starting at 5am with a $ 15 Late fee(CASH ONLY). One member of each team must register his team prior to starting time w/ official Starter.

4. Five (5) fish per team weighed in. Fish must be weighed in alive. No dead fish will be weighed in. Teams bringing fish to scales must be caught by that team in tournament waters during tournament hours.

5. BOATS & MOTORS: There shall be no restriction on size or type of boat used or the size of the motor used, with the stipulation that all boats must be seaworthy  and must be equipped with at least one aerated live well.

6. TACKLE PERMITTED: Fly, spinning, casting, or spin-casting reels and rods will be approved for use in these tournaments. All bass must be caught in a sporting manner on artificial lures only (except pork chunks are allowed). A participant may use only one rig at a time. No trolling or live bait.

7. TOURNAMENT IDENTIFICATION: Prior to launching boats, all boats will be inspected. Each boat will be assigned a starters number.

8. DISQUALIFICATION: Any boat not in weigh in area promptly at the appointed time will be disqualified

9. FISH LIMIT 5 PER BOAT: Large mouth . All fish must be 14" .short fish will result in loss of big fish weight.

 All fish must be returned immediately to the waters of High Rock  after completion of weigh in.

10.TIES: In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken by the largest fish between tied teams.

11. FISHING CONDITIONS: Tournament will be held regardless of weather conditions. However, the tournament officials may  change starting times as it are deemed necessary for the safety of contestants. All fishing must be done from a boat.

12. STARTING POSITIONS: Starting positions will be in the order that applications are received.

13. POLYGRAPH: Any team will be subject to a polygraph test or stress test or tested for past tournaments on this trail. Any team that Fails test will be disqualified. Tournament director reserves the right to place an observer in any contestant boat at anytime.

15.Tournament Headquarters will be at the Tamarac Marina. Teams may also register Friday June 6th  between 4pm-6pm at Tamarac Marina.(CASH ONLY)

16. TEAM TOURNAMENT: 2 persons per boat, no one will be allowed to fish alone.

17.SPORTSMANSHIP:Sportsmanship,courtesy,safety and conservation are expected from each contestant. Tournament Officials and NC Wildlife Protectors will be on the lake In officially marked boats to spot check and observe each contestant. Any violation of fundamental sportsmanship principles may be deemed cause for disqualification and any infraction of any other rule or regulation herein.

18.Protests: Any contestant wishing to protest the catch of fellow contestant must do so in writing to the tournament committee within thirty minutes of the official weigh-in time.The decision of the tournament committee in such cases will be final.

19.Weigh-in will be on a first come first serve basis. Bags will be limited in order to avoid bottleneck at the weigh in station. Teams not weighing any fish are asked to check in with officials in order to account for all teams.

20..PENALTY: Violation of any of these rules may be cause of disqualification from this or all future tournaments.

Release of liability and authorization to photograph :In consideration of being allowed to fish in this event all fisherman shall and do herby wave, discharge  and release this tournament  , Food Lion LLC, Tamarac Marina, and major sponsors, all volunteers, and all of those acting on their behalf, from other claims. liability, actions for damages, compensation or otherwise, known or unknown ,on account of arising out of this fishing tournament and related activities. all other contestants, sponsors, and tournament officials from all claims of injury and/or Damage incurred in connection with this tournament. I understand and agree that the Tournament Rules Committee reserves the Right if it so elects, for any reason, to reject this application. I also agree to take a polygraph exam if it should be requested.
