SALISBURY POST

           
Remember that Salisbury’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration begins at 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Bell Tower, at West Innes and Jackson streets.

Doc Young and the Music Makers will provide music before and after midnight. At 11:45 p.m., Mayor Susan Kluttz will wish everyone well and start the countdown.

At midnight, anyone who wishes can ring the bell in the town, and New Year’s Eve day, Downtown Salisbury will sponsor a drawing to see who gets to ring the bell at midnight, providing the bell’s computer chip doesn’t fail.

The first 30 people at the Bell Tower get free noisemakers.
