Berniece Ford Banister, Ellenwood, Ga., died Oct.
11, 1999.
She was the daughter of the late Marcus and Mattie
Ford.
Survivors include husband Wylly E.

Ellenwood,Ga., and Julie B. Moon, Conyers, Ga.; brothers Jack Ford, Florida, Berry Allmon,

55, 600 Cadillas St., died Sunday (Nov. 28, 1999) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Born Sept. 6, 1944, in Cabarrus County, Mr. Dry
was the son of the late Charlie Martin and Sara Stanback Dry. He retired after 35 years
from Fieldcrest Cannon.
Survivors include wife Bernice Rucker Dry;
daughters Deidra S. Drye and Alicia O. Drye, both of the home; sons Darion C. Drye, of the
home, and Edward Dry, North Wilkesboro; sisters Mary Alice Stanback and Kay Frances Dry,

San Diego, Calif., Leonard Dry, Charlotte, and Sherman Dry, China Grove; and three

Tussey Road, died Monday (Nov. 29, 1999) at High Point Regional Hospital.
Born May 22, 1917, in Robeson County, he was a son
of the late Hector B. and Elizabeth Freeman. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness
Church. He was a retired employee of Indiana Molding of Lexington.
Survivors include wife Eula Britt Freeman; sons
Fletcher Sonny Freeman Jr., Lexington, and Kenneth Freeman, Lumberton;
daughter Frankie Hoover, Lexington; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Fletcher Harvey Freeze
KANNAPOLIS Fletcher Harvey Freeze, 84, 901
Venus St., died Tuesday (Nov. 30, 1999) at his home.
Born Feb. 9, 1915, in Rowan County, Mr. Freeze was
a 1936 graduate of J.W. Cannon High School and a 1939 graduate of Wake Forest University.
He owned and operated The Forty-Four Shop in Jackson Park from 1944 until he retired in
1990. In earlier years, he was a magistrate and justice of the peace. He also worked as a
tax accountant for many years. He was a former member of Kannapolis Businessmens
Club.
Survivors include wife Eloise Brooks Freeze; sons
Lewis Freeze, Kannapolis, and Harvey Freeze, Mount Holly; daughter Mary Freeze Goodnight,
Charlotte; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

John K. Nall
The funeral will be held Thursday for Johnnie Kade
Nall, 51, 110 Mink Drive, who died Monday (Nov. 29, 1999) at Rowan Regional Medical
Center.
Born July 1, 1948, in Cabarrus County, he was a
son of the late John Cleveland Nall Jr. and Eulalia Conner Nall. A graduate of A.L. Brown
High School, he was a carpet representative for Sherwin Williams in Charlotte, for 30
years. He was a member of Grace Christian Church, China Grove, and a U.S. Air Force
veteran of Vietnam.
Survivors include wife Connie Eller Nall; son Alan
Lee Nall, Granite Quarry; sister Lori Nall Taylor, Landis; brother Darwin K. Nall,
Charlotte; stepmothers Kathryn Spry, Landis, and Ethel Nall, Kannapolis; stepsons Scott
Barnette, Charlotte, and Kevin Barnette, Seattle, Wash.; stepdaughters Wendy Barnette,

The funeral will be Thursday for Tony Lynn Weaver,
32, Salisbury, who died Sunday (Nov. 28, 1999) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born March 19, 1967, in Rowan County, Mr. Weaver
was a son of Geneva Panter Cooke, Salisbury, and the late Hubert E. Weaver. Educated in
the Rowan County schools, he was a self-employed painter. He attended Salisbury Christian
Fellowship.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include
brothers Kent Weaver, Gastonia, Larry Weaver, Rockwell, Bradley Weaver, Granite Quarry,
and Jamie Weaver, Salisbury; and sister Sheila Call, Salisbury.
