Born June 10, 1920, in Albemarle, Mr. Woodson was a daughter of the late Baxter and Belzora Ingold Poplin. A member of Shallotte Presbyterian Church, she was a service representative for Southern Bell Telephone.

KANNAPOLIS — The funeral will be Wednesday for Bobby Ray “B.B.” Franklin, 57, 1318 Haywood Ave., who died Sunday (Aug. 29, 1999) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord, after a year of declining health and a week of serious illness.

Born May 13, 1942, in Comer, Ga., Mr. Franklin was a son of the late Clinton D. and Ula Mae Hughes Franklin. A Baptist, he worked for Fieldcrest Cannon electrical shop for 37 years.

Survivors include wife Jeannette Hallman Franklin; daughters Rhonda F. Puckett, Salisbury, and Donna E. Orbison, Rockwell; son Derrick R. Her husbands, Paul Yates Flowe and Harland Atkins Rosser, preceded her in death.
