Mustangs scrimmage

East Rowan will hold a football scrimmage with West Montgomery as part of the Albemarle Football Jamboree this Saturday.

The Mustangs will go into action at 4 p.m.

 

 

Gealy finishes ninth in Tear Drop tour event

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Salisbury native Elliot Gealy finished ninth in the Lexington Classic golf tournament last Friday in a Tear Drop tour event.

Gealy fired rounds of 68-69-71 for a three-day total of 208.

Gealy took home $1,250 in prize money.

This week’s Tear Drop stop is in Chattanooga, Tenn.

 

 

Spartans finish third in Hot Hoops League

The South Rowan Spartans 10&under AAU basketball team finished in third place in the Charlotte Hot Hoops Summer League.

The team was comprised of Matt Fincher, Ryan Claffey, Mike Morgan, Dustin Swartz, Josh Doby, Ryan Jones, Jeremy Mullis, Justin Basinger, Brantly Horton, Derek Davis, Bronson Klutz, Kenneth Brandt and bo Caldwell.

 

 

Isenhour finished tied for 11th in tournament

OMAHA — Salisbury native Tripp Isenhour finished in a tie for 11th place in the Nike Omaha Classic this weekend.

Isenhour shot a four-round total of 273 to win $5,040.
