Alfred Eugene Thompson, 62, 1424 Bringle Ferry Road, died Sunday (Aug. 1, 1999) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

W. Talmadge Shuford IV

ORLANDO, Fla. ~ William Talmage Shuford IV, 11 months, Lillian Drive, died Friday (July 30, 1999) in Orlando.

Born Aug. 29, 1998, in Orlando, he was the son of Tal and Charmon Shuford and was a member of Orlando Community Church. His father was formerly of Salisbury.

Survivors include paternal grandmother Christine Wagoner Rich, New Smyrna Beach, formerly of Salisbury; step-grandfather Frank Rich, New Smyrna Beach; paternal grandfather, Tam Shuford, Winter Park, formerly of Salisbury; step-grandmother, Pat Shuford, Winter Park; maternal grandfather Dennis Cone, Winter Park; maternal grandmother Gayle Cone, Altamonte Springs; paternal great-grandmother Ellese Wagoner, Salisbury; maternal great-grandparents Marvin D. and Catherine Quigley, Winter Garden.

[Services:] Memorial service Tuesday at 12:10 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 106 E. Church St., Orlando, conducted by John Christiansen.

[Memorials:] National Kidney Foundation of Florida, 1040 Woodcock Road, Suite 119, Orlando, Fla. 32803.

Alene Kimball Evans, 86, died Sunday (Aug. 1, 1999) at Genesis Eldercare.

Jerry Franklin Keller

ADVANCE ~ Jerry Franklin Keller, 57, Beauchamp Road, died Sunday (Aug. 1, 1999) at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice/Home, Winston-Salem, after several months of declining health.

Born Dec. 26, 1941, in Davie County, Mr. Keller was a son of Nan Beauchamp Keller, Mocksville, and the late William V. ``Buck’’ Keller. He retired in 1997 from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., and was a member of Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include wife Carlius Hellard Keller; and son David Keller, Advance.

[Services:] 2 p.m. Tuesday, Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church, by the Rev. Joel Boyles. Burial will be in church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

[Visitation:] 7-9 p.m. today at Eaton Funeral Home, Mocksville.

KANNAPOLIS ~ William Cecil Carter, 81, 2100 Temple St., died today (Aug. 2, 1999) at NorthEast Medical Center.

Mamie Wilkerson Cooke

Mamie Lee Wilkerson Cooke, 82, died Saturday (July 31, 1999) at Genesis Eldercare.

Ann Yarbrough Bradshaw

MOCKSVILLE ~ Ann Yarbrough Bradshaw, 80, Lakewood Drive, died Sunday, (Aug. 1, 1999) at her home following several months of declining health.

Born Jan. 1, 1919, in Gibson County, Tenn., Mrs. Bradshaw was a daughter of the late Minty Greer and James Edward Yarbrough. She had retired from Continental Can Co. after 32 years of service. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a two-time winner in the National Cooking Contest sponsored by Pillsbury.

Her husband, Robert Pinkney Bradshaw, died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include sons Joe Earl Nettles, Mocksville, and Edward Thomas Nettles, Yadkinville; seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

[Services:] 10 a.m. Wednesday, Eaton Funeral Chapel, conducted by David Powell of North Main Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in Rowan Memorial Park.

[Visitation:] 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Eaton Funeral Home.

[Memorials:] Alzheimer’s Research, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, N.C. 28215.

CONCORD ~ Catherine Bradford Harwell, 91, 3537 Odell School Road, died Sunday (Aug. 1, 1999) at Transitional Health Services, Kannapolis.
