Hugh Hamilton Jake BostHugh Hamilton Jake Bost, 74, Cauble Road, died Monday (July
26, 1999) at his home after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 11, 1924, in Rowan
County, Mr. Bost was the son of the late Mary Belle Ketner Bost and the late Floyd Bost.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he
served during World War II and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal with the
Bronze Star, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with the Bronze Star and the World War II
Victory Medal.
Bost was educated in Salisbury
city schools and was last employed with Waggoner Realty Co. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Bost was preceded in death by
his wife, Emmie Andrews Bost.
Survivors include son Raymond H.
Bost, Lakeland, Fla.; brothers Robert E. Bost, Salisbury, and Holland Bud
Bost, China Grove; sisters Mary Ruth Coley and Lina Bost Scout Lomax, both of
Salisbury; and Betty Bost Johnson, China Grove.
Services: A memorial service will
be conducted 7 p.m. Monday at Summersett Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Fred Crisco of Maupin
Avenue ARP Church. Burial will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday at the National Cemetery, with
military graveside rites conducted by the Rowan County Veterans Council.
Visitation: The family will see
friends Monday following the memorial service at Summersett Funeral Home.
LaToyya Denise Everhart
The funeral will be held Monday
for LaToyya Denise Everhart, 21, of Dalton Drive, Mooresville. She died Friday (July 30,
1999) after being in declining health for two years.
Also surviving Ms. Everhart are
her grandparents, who were not listed in Saturdays obituary. They are paternal
grandmother Elizabeth Everhart, Cleveland; maternal grandmother Linda Jolly, Cincinnati,
Ohio; maternal grandmother Lillian Ijames, Mocksville; maternal grandfather Paul Williams,
Statesville; and maternal grandfather John Privette, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday at A.R.

Julius Eugene Burris
OAKBORO- Julius Eugene Burris, 77,
18477 Gaddis Road, died Saturday (July 31, 1999) at Presbyterian Hospital.
Born Nov. 28, 1921, Mr. Burris was
the son of the late Ephriam Eugene Burris and the late Essie Mae Hinson Burris.
A World War II Army veteran,
Burris was a retired fork lift operator at C & A in Albemarle.
Survivors include wife Jewell
Louise Efird Burris; sons Julius E. Buster Burris, Locust, Boyd Burris,
Oakboro, Blaine Burris, Kannapolis; daughters Barbara Coley and Brenda Davis, both of
Albemarle; brothers Carl Burris and Grant Burris, both of Oakboro; sisters Margaret
Curlee, Charlotte, Sarah Davis and Marene Burris, both of Asheboro, and Rosa Gene Barbee,
Oakboro; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ida Jane Parker Campbell
KANNAPOLIS- Ida Jane Parker
Campbell, 92, 911 Cub St., died Friday (July 30, 1999) at NorthEast Medical Center.
Born March 3, 1907, in Iredell
County, Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of the late Mary Talbert Parker and the late
William Sloan Parker.
Mrs. Campbell retired from Cannon
Mills Co. in 1968.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Robert Campbell.
Survivors include daughter Daisy
Shue, Kannapolis; sister Flonnie Carpenter, Asheville; and sister Bessie Derry,
Kannapolis.

Kluttz, 56, of Salisbury, N.C., died Thursday (July 29, 1999) in Crystal as the result of
injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Alice Milam Morrison
CONCORD- Alice Milam Morrison, 83,
36 Georgia St., died Friday (July 30, 1999) at the Concord Nursing Center.
Born September 18, 1915, in
Cabarrus County, Mrs. Morrison was the daughter of the late Tina Scott Wingate and the
late C.C. Wingate.
Former owner of Al-Mar Ceramics in
Concord, she was a retired employee of Cannon Mills Co. Wash Cloth Department. She was a
lifelong member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for
many years.
Survivors include husband, James
R. (Jack) Morrison; daughter Marcia M. Meadows, Mt. Holly; son Charles W. Morrison,
Oakgrove, Ky.; sisters Colleen Andrews and Sara Hicks, both of Concord; brother Chic
Wingate, Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
