St. Luke’s Reformed chicken dinner

Trading Ford Baptist

Since 1869 Trading Ford Baptist church has been a force for good in its community and beyond. Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday at 10 a.m. with author, international speaker and multiple TBN/CBN guest Danny Wallace, who will share his life story of survival, hope and forgiveness. He will also be sharing his gift of musical talent.

Rose Belk to sing at Word of Life

On Sunday during the 10 a.m. service, Word of Life Family Worship Center,  726 E. Liberty St., will have special music provided by Rose Belk, a gospel recording artist, songwriter, and minister of the Gospel.   She is a former member of the praise and worship team at Victory Christian Center (VCC) in Charlotte, a contributing writer for Optimal Living Magazine in Washington, DC, and she ministers to single moms through her IMPACT Program.  She and her husband run and own their own management company, R. Belk Music Group, LLC and record label, New Season Records.

St. Peter’s Lutheran

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will host a covered dish fundraiser in the fellowship hall at noon on Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. worship service, which will be in celebration of All Saints Day and include Holy communion.

The fundraiser/covered dish dinner is in honor of retiring pre-school director Betty Pierce. There will also be a silent auction, proceeds from which will be given to the preschool in Betty’s honor. For more information call 704-279-5054.

Dunn’s Mountain Baptist tailgate

Dunn’s Mountain Baptist Church will be having “Tailgate Sunday” tomorrow, with worship beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by fun.

Bring pop up tents, food, grills if you have one but if not we will have some on site, and wear your favorite team colors or jerseys. Dress like you would if you were going to the football game to support your team. There will be a horseshoe and corn hole tournament as well as many other fun things. ‘Fall back into church’ at North Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS — Sunday is “Fall back into church” Sunday at North Kannapolis Baptist Church. Revival at Phaniels Baptist

ROCKWELL— Revival services at Phaniels Baptist Church, 2685 Phaniel Church Road, begins Nov. 2 and continues through Nov. 5. Sunday’s services are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and services Monday through Wednesday are at 7 p.m.

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church of Salisbury welcomes back Dr. Jim C. Dunkin to the pulpit. Dunkin has been away on sabbatical and Sunday is his first day back in the worship services. All Saints’ Day will be observed at each service, at 8:30 and 11 a.m. in the sanctuary and 8:50 a.m. in Lewis Hall, with communion.

Solid Rock celebrates pastoral anniversary

Solid Rock Church of God, 1004 Locke St., will celebrate its pastor, the Rev. Samuel A. Washington’s seventh pastoral anniversary on Sunday at 4 p.m. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Cornelius N. Atkinson, pastor of Wilson Heights First Church of God, Charlotte. Refreshments will be served following the afternoon service.

Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer

An observance of Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer will be held at Milford Hills Baptist Church on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Debbie Yokley, retired law enforcement officer, is guest speaker and soloist. Yokley has traveled internationally with World Missions Alliance since 2011. Her most recent mission trips have been to Ethiopia and Iraq.

Following the presentation, there will be a time of prayer focusing on prayer requests provided by the Baptist World Alliance Women’s Division representing seven continental unions including 239 Baptist organizations from 137 countries. This event is sponsored by the Woman’s Missionary Union of Rowan Southern Baptist Association. There is no charge.

Surviving the holidays griefshare seminar
