SPENCER — If you missed your Day Out With Thomas this past weekend, don’t fret. He’ll be back for another three days of fun.
Thomas the Tank Engine and friend Percy are taking a rest at the N.C. Transportation Museum, but they’ll welcome visitors again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The two stars of the popular “Thomas & Friends” children’s television series are on their “Day Out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014.”
Tickets to ride with Percy are sold out, but the 25-minute ride with Thomas is included with admission and still available. Visitors can also take photos of Thomas and Percy and meet Sir Topham Hatt, controller of the railway.
There’s also a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station featuring stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts and crafts, train tables and coloring sheets.
And there will be storytelling, live music and magic shows.
The Transportation Museum, 411 S. Salisbury Ave., is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each event day. Departure times for Thomas and Percy begin at 10 a.m. Friday and 9:15 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Final ride times are 3:45 p.m. Friday, 5:15 p.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
