Lake Norman teen rock n’ roll band, Stay Tuned, will be playing at Downtown Salisbury’s Kid’s Night Out ?at Pottery 101 at 7 p.m. on Friday.
The band has recently performed at Go Burrito, the Kannapolis Intimidators’ stadium, Rowan Chamber’s Dragon Boat Festival and Mooresville’s Festival of Food Trucks.
The band is comprised of Aidan Walsh (5th grader at East Mooresville Intermediate School/ drummer), Wil Cannon (9th grader at Hough High School/ bassist), Riley Core (11th grader at South Iredell’s IB School/ lead guitarist) and Collin Walsh (8th grader at Mooresville Middle School/ vocalist).
The band was formed after Aidan, Collin and Riley hit the ‘crossroads’ with their former bands, Wacko and About Five. The band recently added Wil, an experienced bassist, who also plays in another local kids’ band.
The band members have played all over the Lake Norman area over the past four years with their former bands in such places as Denver’s Fireworks Festival’s Battle of the Bands, No Stomach for Cancer events, the North Carolina Music Factory and at Salisbury’s Uncle Buck’s.
