CHINA GROVE — Andrew Bradshaw is the winner of the China Grove Farmers Market’s Biggest Watermelon Contest. His watermelon weighted 62.5 pounds. He received a $100 prize. Andrew is the 13-year-old son of Trent and Crystal Bradshaw, and he attends Southeast Middle School.
Andrew’s grandfather, Galen Burris, helped him grow his prize winning watermelon.
The China Grove Farmers Market is located at the China Grove Roller Mill, 308 N. Main St.
The market is open 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Fridays through Sept. 26.
