Doesn’t look like we’ll get much of a break from the heat in the upcoming days. Our highest chance of rain is 40 percent on Sunday.
Today we have a 20 percent chance of isolated showers between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., then isolated showers and storms after 3. It will be partly sunny and 89, with a dewpoint in the 60s or above, making for a very sticky day. Tonight’s low will be around 67, with the same chance of rain.
If you are lucky enough to have a three-day weekend, it will be quite warm and muggy.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and hot again, with a high of 89; the low will be 69.
With Sunday’s 40 percent chance of showers and storms, it will be partly sunny with a high near 87 and a light breeze from the south southwest. The chance of rain continues Sunday night with a low of 70.
Labor Day is going to be your typical summer day in the South — partly sunny and 87, with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms in the afternoon. Hold on to the showers and storms Monday night, too, with a low around 69.
And heading back to work and school, just expect more of the same. It will be mostly sunny Tuesday and 89, with a low around 69.
Back comes the 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms for Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 89; the low will around 67.
Thursday’s the same song, second verse, a high of 87; a 30 percent chance of showers and storms.
