The Symphony Guild will transform the Depot into Casino Fantastique

Have you made your reservations for Casino Fantastique? Sept. 12 is fast approaching!

Tickets are available online at SalisburySymphony.org or by calling 704-431-4447. Buddy Farnan of Pendragon Production is transforming the Salisbury Depot into a decorated rendition of a casino, with dealers in tuxedos and the gaming fun of blackjack, craps tables, roulette and chuck-aluk.

When you enter Casino Fantastique, pick up your $2,000 in SymPhony “play money” and your two drink tickets. Then enjoy the sumptuous buffet, which includes a roast beef station with all the trimmings, catered by Buttercup Cafe & Catering of Denton.

As you finish up at the gaming tables, cash in your chips for raffle tickets. Then place your raffle tickets in the prize baskets for a chance to win some great prizes.

Prizes include several one-hour massages at Green Life Massage, dinner certificates from Pinocchio’s, O’Charley’s, and Cartucci’s Restaurants; $50 bottle of champagne; basket of cheer from Outback Steakhouse Restaurant; a ceiling fan from Home Lighting; certificate for Sam’s Car Wash; dry cleaning at Vogue Cleaners; coffee from Starbuck’s; and a three-month membership in the YMCA. Are you downsizing? How about four hours of consulting from Smart Choice Consulting?

Another way to leave a Winner is to play the 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The drawing takes place at the end of the evening. Whatever the value of the pot, the winner goes home with half. The other half goes to the Salisbury Rowan Symphony Guild as part of the evening’s fundraising proceeds.

Event proceeds support budding musicians in the Symphony’s After School Strings program, Suzuki Program and the Rowan Youth Orchestra.

Listen or dance to the eclectic music of deejay Joshua Moyer of Dichotomy Entertainment. Joshua Moyer was recently heard in Salisbury as the tenor in last Spring’s “Carmina Burana” and has performed as a deejay at many of the great clubs in the Triad area.

If Megan Cleaveland, who sang soprano for “Carmina Burana” and who just returned from opera performances in Italy, is able to attend, she and Moyer are planning a special duet.

Round out your evening of fun with a winning bid at the silent auction.

Included are a round of golf for four at The Club at Irish Creek; three-bedroom, two-bath condo at Colonial Williamsburg’s Grand Illumination weekend with its holiday decorations and fabulous fireworks Dec. 5-7; the autograph of two-time Master’s Champion pro golfer, Bubba Watson; backyard BBQ for 20 catered by Outback Steakhouse Restaurant; take Maestro David Hagy to dinner; take soprano Megan Cleaveland to dinner; and the autograph of “Dancin’ Kate Hansen,” 2014 U.S. Olympian luger of the Socci games.

Want to take a memento home? Our own Salisbury “street artist” Joseph Heilig will draw your caricature at the event. Mr. Heilig recently took a second place at the Carolina Artists EXPO at the Salisbury Civic Center.

Tickets for the Sept. 12 Casino Fantastique are $55 per person. Purchase by Sept. 6 online at SalisburySymphony.org or by calling 704-431-4447.
