AMVETS Post 460 to honor Mills, an active-duty member

SALISBURY — AMVETS Post 460 will honor and welcome home one of its own Saturday at the Post home, 285 Lakeside Drive.
Army Spc. Thomas C. Mills, a member of AMVETS of North Carolina, recently returned from combat duties in Afghanistan. His prior service was in South Korea.
Mills is home on leave with his parents, Chris and Alicia Mills, and his brother, Seth, at 730 Hidden Cove Drive.
In Thomas Mills’ honor, Post 460 is presenting a barbecue cookout with both chicken and pork, including all the trimmings. Food will be ready at 5:30 p.m. at the post.
All veterans are welcome.
