See ‘America’ movie and you’ll be glad; just do it
Do you find yourself worrying about our nation? Worrying what our children and grandchildren will face in the future? I certainly do.
I wonder how they are going to pay the unbelievable national debt ($17.4 trillion and growing every minute) we are handing them to pay. I am appalled at how low America’s esteem had fallen around the world. I wonder how safe Americans will be in the future as the administration makes tremendous cuts in defense while huge and potent forces seem to have gone crazy with hate for Americans.
I wonder where the good I accomplished in 21 years of military service and 20 years of federal service as an research and development engineer has gone.
We must not give up the fight to revive our country. Last week I took two of my grandsons (15 and 17) to see the movie “America.” (BTW, I noted several other “older” folks sitting with teenagers.) The movie, an entertaining documentary, uses sound reasoning as to why we are where we are today. It went further to show that we can return to the old days in spite of those who seem content on tearing down America.
Bottom line, my techie grandsons liked the movie and really wanted to talk about it. Perhaps, there is still hope.
I was always taught that hope is not a method; we need to go to WORK. So take your teenage children and/or grandchildren to see “America” and talk to them about it. And write your two senators and district congresspersons and demand that the deep cuts in our defense be reversed. (We need hordes of infantry squads and legions of supporting cohorts.)
Just do it !
