Rowan weather: Hot weekend

Published 12:00 am Friday, July 25, 2014

We have a hot weekend coming up, and a cool-off for next week.
Under partly sunny skies today, the high will be near 85. Tonight, the low will be near 67. No rain.
Air quality will be OK, despite the high temperatures. The main problem thought the weekend will be ozone. We’re still very high on the UV scale, so protect yourself from the sun.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 92 and little breeze. Saturday night’s low will be around 71.
We drum up a mere 20 percent chance of showers and storms Sunday, mainly after 2 p.m. It will be sunny and hot, with a high near 93; look for a low of 73, a warm night.
Monday will be hot, too, with a high near 91 and a 30 percent chance of rain, again under mostly sunny skies. Then, we have a pleasant night in store, with a low around 63.
And enjoy Tuesday and Wednesday, when highs will be near 80 and lows around 60. Thursday looks good, too, with a high near 83. There is no mention of rain after Monday evening.
