Another hot, muggy day is expected, with high humidity and high temperatures in the upper 80s. Our 60 percent chance of rain will be mainly after 5 p.m., and last into the night, with a low of 66. Some of the storms could become severe, with damaging winds the main threat. If a squall line forms this afternoon east of the Blue Ridge mountains, the possibility of rough weather increases.

The prediction for possible severe weather has lead to the postponement of the Brick Street Live concert scheduled for tonight. It has been rescheduled to Sept. 25.

The UV index today is very high. Sun protection is needed, especially between 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Fog is possible Friday morning.

Donít look for rain Friday or Saturday, and then thereís just a small chance Sunday and Monday. Air quality is good today, then moderate for ozone on Friday and Saturday.

Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 86 and a low around 66. Saturday, temperatures climb to 91 under mostly sunny skies. The low will be around 71.

Sunday brings a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high again near 91. The chance of precipitation continues Sunday night, with 71 for the low again.

Monday will be very warm, 88, with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms, and the same goes for Monday night, but the low will dip into the more comfortable mid-60s.

Tuesday will bring a high of only 82, and a low of 61. And Wednesday will be the same, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 82.
