Michigan company buys Magna plant

SALISBURY — The Magna Composites plant on N.C. Highway 70 has a new owner.
Michigan-based Continental Structural Plastics, or CSP, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire five Magna Composites facilities in North America, including the plant at 6701 Statesville Boulevard about halfway between Salisbury and Cleveland.
The plant employs about 260 people. No word yet on whether the new owners will make any changes at the facility.
