Part of Lyerly Road to close for bridge repair

Beginning Monday, July 14, N.C. Department of Transportation will close the 1000 block of Lyerly Road (SR 1771) in the western part of the county for bridge replacement over Sills Creek. The point of closure is approximately .9 of a mile from the intersection of White Road (SR 1737). Motorists will still be able to access residences and businesses on either side of the bridge construction area, up to the points of closure. Construction should be complete and the road reopened by Friday, Dec. 5.
The following signed offsite detour will be used during the closure: White Road, Mooresville Road, Graham Road.
